MAKE YOUR OWN BREAD CRUMBS
Tear slices of fresh bread into quarters, place a few at a time in blender container; cover and blend until coarsely chopped or tear bread into crumbs. Each slice makes about 3/4 cup soft crumbs.

FINE DRY CRUMBS:

Oven-toast stale bread at 300 degrees until crisp and dry. Crush with a rolling pin, or add to a blender container a little at a time. Cover and blend until finely crushed. Each slice makes about 1/4 cup fine dry crumbs.

BUTTERED CRUMBS:

Add 1 tablespoon melted butter to 3/4 cup soft crumbs or 1/4 cup fine dry crumbs, toss to combine.
