PEANUT BUTTER ACORNS | |
1/2 c. melted butter 2 c. crunchy peanut butter 3 1/3 c. powdered sugar 8 c. Rice Chex, crushed to 3 c. 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/3 bar paraffin wax 1/2 tsp. vanilla In large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, peanut butter and sugar. Work in Chex with fingers until evenly mixed. (Mixture will be crumbly.) Press and shape into balls about 1 1/4 inch in diameter. Place remaining ingredients in top of double boiler. Heat until melted, stirring often. Remove from heat. Dip each ball half way into chocolate. Set on wax paper. (Return chocolate to heat if it becomes too thick.) Store balls in tightly sealed container. May be frozen. |
