PINEAPPLE SUPREME CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 (13 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (or part coconut)
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugars, eggs, and pineapple well. DO NOT BEAT. Add flour, soda, and salt to fruit mixture. Mix only until well blended. Add nuts and vanilla. Mix and bake in 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring to boil and cook 4 minutes. Pour slowly over warm cake. Prick cake with toothpick and topping will be absorbed more quickly. Use all the topping mixture.
