MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 can cream corn
3 tbsp. bacon grease
1 lb. hamburger browned and drained
1/2 lb. grated cheddar cheese
1 lg. onions, chopped

Grease heavy iron skillet and sprinkle with corn meal, let meal get hot on burner pour 1/2 cornmeal mixture into hot skillet, sprinkle with hamburger then onions, then grated cheese, pour rest of meal mixture on top. Bake 45 minutes or until brown in 350 degree oven. Let set 5 minutes, slice and serve.
