RON'S FAVORITE BROWNIES 
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In medium saucepan combine butter, sugar and water. Heat over low-medium heat. When it bubbles and foams around rim, remove. Add 6 ounces chips and vanilla. Stir until chips melt and mixture is smooth. Add eggs and combine. Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Blend well. Stir in remaining chips. Spread into greased 9 inch square pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely and then cut.

I usually cool the brownies to room temperature, then refrigerate them and then cut. It's very easy to double the recipe.
