CORY'S BREAD PUDDING
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
4 cups cinnamon raisin bread, cubed
2 green apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup pecans. chopped
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of salt
caramel sauce (I like Smucker's)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch glass baking dish.

In a large bowl combine bread, apples and pecans.

In a small saucepan heat butter, cream and sugar just until butter melts. Move bread mixture to baking dish, pour cream mixture on top and let sit a few minutes.

Whisk eggs and add to baking dish. Gently mix ingredients together making sure all bread pieces have been immersed in the liquid.

Place glass baking dish into one size larger baking dish, fill larger dish with water, about 1-inch deep.

Carefully place onto center rack of oven and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

Serve with heated caramel sauce.
