MOCK MARSHMALLOW BARS 
3/4 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix and put into jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes. Cool.

Dissolve 2 packages plain gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Let set in refrigerator.

Put less than 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup cold water into a pan and boil for 2 minutes. Pour syrup over gelatin, beat 15 minutes until stiff peaks form.

Add 1/2 cup chopped cherries and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Fold in mixture, spread on crust. Sprinkle with coconut. Let set. Freezes well.
