BAKED CUSTARD 
6 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. milk, scalded
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Nutmeg

Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar, salt, milk and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Pour into greased 3-quart casserole or individual custard cups and sprinkle top with nutmeg. Place casserole in a pan which contains enough water to come halfway up the sides of the casserole. Bake in cold or preheated 325 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Test a baked custard by inserting knife in center of pudding. If knife is only slightly coated, remove custard.
