CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING 
3 c. soft bread crumbs
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Whipped cream (opt.)

Combine bread crumbs, cocoa and pecans, stirring well; set aside.

Beat eggs until foamy; gradually add sugar, beating well 1 minute. Stir in milk, vanilla, salt and bread crumb mixture.

Pour mixture into a lightly greased 1 3/4 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until set. Serve warm with whipped cream. 6 to 8 servings.
