CARAMEL BARS 
32 caramels
3 tbsp. cream
3 tbsp. butter, melt in double boiler with caramels & cream
3/4 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Mix butter, sugar, oatmeal, soda, salt and flour. Put 2/3 in ungreased pan; pat down. Bake 10 minutes. Pour caramel sauce over crust, then sprinkle chips on top. Add remaining 1/3 oatmeal mixture by globbing on top. Bake 15 minutes. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees. Serves 20.
