1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 c. brown sugar, firm 1 egg 1 c. salad oil 1 c. oats, regular 1 c. crushed corn flakes 1 tsp. vanilla 3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. shredded coconut (optional) Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and mix well. Add salad oil, mix well. Add oats, corn flakes, coconut and nuts. Stir well. Then add flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Form into balls (size of walnuts). Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork (dip in water). Bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes and then remove. Makes 8 dozen. |
