APPLE PIE BARS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, separated
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. tapioca
Sliced apples (amount depends on size of dish)

Mix first 3 ingredients together. Separate egg, put yolk in measuring cup. Add enough milk to egg to make 2/3 cups liquid and mix into flour mixture. Roll out half of pastry mix and place in baking dish. Cover with sliced apples. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, flour and tapioca mixture over apples. Cover with remaining pastry mix. Beat egg white until foamy; spread over top of the dough, sprinkle with small amount of cinnamon, sugar mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
