VELVETY CUSTARD PIE | |
4 slightly beaten eggs 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. milk (scalded) 9 inch unbaked pastry shell Roll out a pastry shell to a little less than 1/8 inch. Thoroughly mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanillas. Slowly stir in hot milk. At once pour into shell, sprinkle top with nutmeg. Bake in very hot oven at 475 degrees for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 425 degrees and bake 10 minutes more. |
