CRUNCHY APPLE CAKE 
Cake:

1 -21 oz. can apple pie filling
1 small box of white or yellow cake mix (Jiffy)
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans

Spread pie filling in bottom of 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix over the top. Pour melted butter over cake mix. Sprinkle pecans over the butter.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until top is brown and filling bubbles. Cut apple slices into 2-3 pieces.

Caramel Filling:

1 box light brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 small can milk
chopped pecans (optional)

Cook for ten minutes or until smooth, then let sit for 15 minutes. Add pecans if desired. Beat for a few minutes until smooth. Spread on cake layers 3 or 4.
