KOLACHI - NUT COOKIES 
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 cake yeast - warm milk and dissolve
3 1/2 c. flour
3/4 lb. butter
3 egg yolks

Mix all dough ingredients and put in refrigerator several hours. Roll out in powdered sugar about 1/8 inch thick, then add filling enough to cover up with dough ends.

FILLING:

3 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 lbs. walnuts or pecans, chopped

Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
