1 pkg. Oreos
1/2 c. butter
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
1 can evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate (2 oz.)

Crush package of Oreos. Melt 1/2 cup butter. Mix with crushed cookies. Press into bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Soften ice cream, and spread over cookie mixture. put pan in freeze until ice cream hardens.

Combine evaporated milk, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter and chocolate in saucepan. Boil 10-15 minutes until thick, stirring often. COOL! Pour over ice cream. Freeze. When chocolate layer hardens, spread with Cool Whip and serve.
