MICROWAVE STUFFED GREEN PEPPER
(600 WATT)
 
3 green peppers
1 lb. hamburger
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1/4 c. catsup
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. instant rice
1 egg
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cut peppers in half lengthwise. Mix meat, tomato sauce, rice, eggs, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Spoon into peppers. Place on roasting rack. Cover loosely with wax paper. Microwave until peppers are tender, 12-16 minutes. Use carousel. Top each pepper with catsup during last 2 minutes of cooking.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
