BOSTON PARKER HOUSE ROLLS 
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast
6 1/2 to 7 c. flour
2 c. water
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg

Combine sugar, salt, yeast and 2 1/4 cups sifted flour in large bowl. Melt shortening in water. Cool to lukewarm. Add to above mixture. Add egg and mix well. Add remaining flour; knead. Let rise 1/2 to 2 hours. Punch down. Let stand 10 minutes. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Brush with melted butter. Make a crease and fold over. Press edges together. Place close together in greased pan. Let rise. Bake approximately 12 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes 4 dozen.
