APPLE OR RHUBARB CRISP | |
1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 1/4 c. oatmeal 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 c. shortening 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. water 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. vanilla Mix first five ingredients together and put half on bottom of a 9"x13" pan. Place the apples (about 5) or rhubarb on next. Boil the next four ingredients until clear (may be done in the microwave, 4 to 5 minutes). Pour over fruit. Add rest of crumb mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. |
