GERMAN APPLE CRISP 
8 c. peeled & sliced apples
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. flour
1 c. melted butter

Mix apples with sugar and flour. Spread into 9"x13" pan. Blend rest of ingredients together until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown. May be served plain or with ice cream.

Made this one for years and still there is no better. Some people try to "improve" a recipe by adding some fancy ingredients, just don't. Simple is best. Just use Granny Smith or if you can get the best, a greening apple.
