BREAD STUFFING 
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1/3 c. melted butter
4 c. dry bread cubes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. butter
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
Sage to taste
Hot chicken broth or water

Cook onion in 2 tbsp. melted butter over low heat until it softens. Do not brown.

Combine onion, bread cubes and seasonings. Add remaining butter and enough broth (canned broth may be used) to moisten. Toss to mix. Makes 4 cups.
