NORWEGIAN KRINKLES 
3/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 lb. blanched almonds, ground fine
4 c. all-purpose flour

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly; add the egg, vanilla, nuts and flour. Roll into one inch balls and flatten with fingers on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven 10 minutes. Frost and sprinkle with red or green sugar.
