CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE WITH
MERINGUE
 
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp., heaping, flour
Pinch salt
3 eggs, separated
1 sm. can evaporated milk
1 1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter

Combine dry ingredients. Add egg yolks. Mix enough water with cocoa to make smooth. Add cocoa and milk to egg mixture; stir well. Then add vanilla and butter. Pour into ready made pie crust. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 and bake 40 more minutes.

Beat egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar and pinch of salt to make meringue. Top pie and brown.
