GERMAN SLAW 
1 head cabbage, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 ribs celery, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
3/4 c. salad oil
1 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed

Combine vegetables. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Pour over vegetables. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Serves 14.
