MACARONI AND MEAT CASSEROLE 
1/2 (8 oz.) pkg. Red Cross Ready Cut Macaroni
1 lb. ground beef or sausage
1 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. oil (omit if sausage is used)
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of celery soup
3 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. milk
1/2 lb. American cheese, shredded (2 c.)
2 slices American cheese (optional)

Cook macaroni as directed; drain. Cook meat and onion in oil until lightly browned. Drain off excess fat and combine meat mixture with soup, eggs, milk and shredded cheese; add macaroni. Pour into a 2 quart casserole. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until set. Top with triangular cheese slices, if desired.
