ALL-BRAN MUFFINS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 tbsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. raisins or more (optional)
1 pt. buttermilk
2 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix together and let cool: 1 c. boiling water

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs, buttermilk and Kellogg's All-Bran. Sift together soda, salt and flour; add to creamed ingredients. Fold in Nabisco and water mixture (when cool). Add 1 cup of raisins; fill greased muffin tins. Bake at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes. Keep remainder in large container in refrigerator. They stay 4-6 weeks.
