BARBECUED SPARE RIBS 
3-4 lbs. ribs
1 lemon
1 lg. onion
1 c. catsup
1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Dashes Tabasco sauce
2 c. water

Place ribs in a shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. On each piece, place a slice of onion, squeeze lemon juice over meat. Roast in hot oven, 450 degrees, for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil; pour over ribs. Continue baking in moderate oven, 350 degrees, until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add more water. Serves 4.
