BLONDIES 
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 sticks (1/2 c. + 2 tbsp.) unsalted butter, softened
1 lb. box light brown sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Into a bowl sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream together the butter and brown sugar and beat the mixture until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in vanilla. Add the flour mixture, stirring until blended. Stir in chips. Pour into a buttered and floured baking pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Smooth top. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes. Let Blondies cool completely before cutting.
