3 c. plain flour
5 eggs
1 c. milk
2 3/4 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add flour and milk alternately. Add vanilla. Bake in lightly greased tube pan at 300 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours.
