PHYLLIS' MEAT PIE 
1 double crust pie
1 lb. hamburger
1/4 c. shortening
3 tbsp. instant onion
1 1/2 c. tomato juice
1 lb. can mixed vegetables
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. catsup

Brown hamburger in shortening with onion and then drain. Stir in 1 cup tomato juice, the vegetables, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Blend other 1/2 cup tomato juice, flour and catsup. Add meat. Stir constantly till thick. Place in pastry lined pan, 9 inch. Cover with remaining dough. Cut slits in top; seal edge. Bake at 400 degrees 20 to 25 minutes.
