CANDIED CARROTS 
1 dozen med. carrots
Boiling salt water
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. allspice

Scrape carrots and cut into thin strips. Cook in boiling salt water for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain well. Melt butter; add sugar and allspice. Stir well until blended. Place carrots in oven-proof dish. Pour butter sauce over carrots and bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Serves 8.
