OLD FASHION POPCORN BALLS | |
1 c. white Karo corn syrup 1/2 c. sugar 3 oz. box Jello 1/2 lb. salted peanuts (chopped) 10 c. popped popcorn Bring Karo syrup and sugar to a hard boil in medium saucepan. Remove from heat. Add in the Jello and stir until dissolved, then add peanuts. Pour mixture over the popcorn mixing well quickly. Form into 1 1/2 inch balls. Let cool on baking rack or greased cookie sheet. Wrap individually in clear plastic wrap. It's fun to make 2 or 3 batches with different colors and flavors of Jello. Serves 10-15. |
