OVEN BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
3 lb. spareribs
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lemon sliced thin
1/2 c. minced onion
2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. celery seed
Dash of Tabasco sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. catsup

Arrange spareribs, meaty side up, in 2 shallow baking pans. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Arrange lemon slices over spareribs and sprinkle with onion. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over spareribs. Bake at 450 degrees for 45 minutes, then at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
