BAKED OXTAILS 
2 oxtails, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 lg. tomato, diced
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
Black pepper and garlic powder to taste
3 c. boiling water

Wash tails and sprinkle with thyme, crushed red pepper, garlic powder and black pepper. Place in roasting pan and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from oven. Pour off all fat. Add onion soup mix, the tomato and 3 cups of boiling water. Cover and seal pan on all sides with foil. Return to oven and bake 1 hour longer. Remove from oven, unseal the foil, watch out for steam. Add more water to pan and make gravy adding 3 tablespoon of cornstarch to 1/2 cup cold water, mix well and add to pan, cooking over medium flame on top of stove.

Must add onions and fresh garlic. And it still needs salt... i.e. Lawry's seasoned salt.
