BEST BAKED CUSTARD 
3 eggs, beaten
1/3 c. sugar
Dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. scalded milk
Nutmeg

Scald milk. Pour into egg, sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into glass baking dish (small custard dishes may be used) and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. (I put my baking dish in a pan of hot water in the oven.) This recipe is easily doubled or tripled.
