PECAN PIE SURPRISE BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 egg
1 c. chopped pecans

FILLING:2/3 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling. In large bowl, combine remaining dry mix, butter and 1 egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until light golden brown.

Meanwhile prepare filling. Pour over partially baked crust; sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes until filling is set. Cool. Cut into 36 bars.

FILLING: Mix in large bowl, combine all ingredients. Pour over bars.
