Instant potato flakes or buds
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. garlic salt (or powder)
Butter, paprika, chives

Prepare potatoes according to package instructions. Add softened cream cheese, sour cream and garlic salt or powder. Beat thoroughly with electric beater. Place in casserole, brush with: butter, paprika and chives. Bake uncovered 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Recipe can be put together and refrigerated a day early and recommends instant mashed potatoes. Serves 12.
