LORRAINE'S FAMOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
Cream thoroughly 2/3 cup butter and 2/3 cup shortening. Add 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup packed brown sugar. Continue to cream and add 2 eggs and 2 teaspoon vanilla.

Mix in 3 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt. Stir in 12 ounce bag of semi-sweet chips.

Drop batter by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes or whenever edges begin to brown and center looks set.

These cookies turn out the best when the following name brands are used: Crisco, Imperial butter, Pillsbury flour, and Nestles chips.
