DELUXE IRISH BREAD 
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1 c. sour cream
3 eggs
1 box golden raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter butter. Add eggs, sour cream and remaining ingredients, plus caraway seeds, if you wish. Put in a long loaf pan, Angel Cake pan or 2 smaller loaf pans, each 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes. Do not over cook, as it is apt to be crumbly if baked too long. 55 minutes just about right. Sprinkle a little sugar on top, if you wish, before baking. (Try "doneness" with a toothpick inserted in center of cake.)
