BACON - WRAPPED WATER CHESTNUTS 
1 can whole water chestnuts
1/4 c. soy sauce
Bacon, cut into thirds
Barbecue sauce (optional)

Marinate water chestnuts in soy sauce for about 45 minutes. Wrap each chestnut with a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Arrange on a rack in a shallow pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Keep warm. Optional: Top with barbecue sauce.
