1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
3/4 c. applesauce
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. ground raisins

Cream first 3 ingredients together. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add applesauce. In separate bowl mix flour, salt, cinnamon, powder and soda. Add to rest of mixture. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Put on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
