1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 c. applesauce
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 beaten eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins, added to above flour mixture
1 c. nut meats

Cream together shortening and sugar; add applesauce, cinnamon, and eggs. Sift and add flour, soda, and salt. Add oatmeal, raisins, and nuts. Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
