BRACIOLE (ROUND STEAK ROLLED) 
Score both sides of round steak. Spread a small amount of shortening on one side and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, pepper and parsley flakes. Roll the steak and tie with string.

Brown the rolled steak. Add 1 quart of tomatoes and 1 small 6 ounce can tomato paste. Add a bay leaf. Simmer until tender 3 hours. Cool slightly and slice. Serves 6 to 8.
