FIVE HOUR BEEF STEW 
1 c. chopped celery
4 to 5 chopped carrots
1 onion, chopped
4 potatoes, cut in pieces
1 1/2 lbs. stew meat
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
1 c. water
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 tbsp. tapioca
Salt, pepper

Combine all ingredients and bake in a covered dutch oven for 5 hours at 250 degrees. For a juicier stew, elminate tapioca. Vegetables may be varied and/or mushroom soup or Lipton's dry onion soup may be added.
