GRANDMA'S BANANA BREAD | |
2 eggs 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 3 mashed ripe bananas 2 c. flour 1 1/2 tbsp. sour milk (can be made by adding a couple drops vinegar to milk) 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Grease bottom and sides of loaf pan. Mix all ingredients until blended. Pour evenly into loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool about 10 minutes and then turn out of pan. |
