BANANA BREAD | |
1/2 c. butter, softened 1 egg 1 c. Grandma's molasses (Gold Label) 3 lg. bananas, mashed (2 c.) 1 c. whole wheat flour 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional) 1/2 tsp. each: finely grated orange rind and ground nutmeg Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter. Beat in egg, molasses and banana. Mix in remaining ingredients just until blended. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Cool on wire rack. |
