2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (opt.)

Mix ingredients. Bake in well greased loaf pan at 325 degrees until toothpick comes out clean.
