PEPPER HASH 
2 c. cabbage
2 green peppers
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar

Cut a hard head of cabbage into quarters. Chop finely and soak in cold water 20 minutes. Remove stem and seeds from peppers and chop. Drain cabbage and mix with peppers. Mix other ingredients and pour over peppers and cabbage. Flavor improves if refrigerated overnight.
