PECAN SANDIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. pecans, finely chopped

Cream butter, gradually add sugar. Mix in water and vanilla. Blend in flour and pecans.

Spread on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Slice into fingers or squares.
