EVEN MY KIDS EAT 'EM BRUSSELS
SPROUTS
 
1 lb. fresh brussels sprouts
1 lg. tomato (cut in pieces)
1 sm. onion (cut in pieces)
8 lg. fresh mushrooms (sliced)
1/2 c. Russian or spicy French salad dressing
1/4 c. water

Leave brussels sprouts whole, but wash, peel outer leaves and trim bottoms and arrange in the bottom of a small microwave proof casserole dish. Add water and microwave minute to minute until sprouts are fork tender (1 to 5 minutes depending on how powerful your microwave is).

Add other vegetables and microwave an additional minute or so until onions, tomato and mushrooms are hot but not fully cooked. Remove and drain excess water. Return to bowl and stir in salad dressing, coating all vegetables. You will like it even if you hate brussels sprouts (and most people do!).

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
